The Boring Fund helps small nonprofits pay for the small stuff so you change the world.
Inspired by The Boring Fund in the UK, we provide up to $300 in microgrants to cover the boring stuff costs like insurance, software, printers, and office supplies. The Fund has:

To be eligible for a Boring Fund microgrant, your organization must meet the following:

We do not provide funding to individuals, for-profit businesses, organizations
engaged in religious proselytizing or political lobbying, and large institutions such as
universities, hospitals, or national nonprofits.

We fund non-programmatic, operational costs like insurance, accounting fees, software subscriptions, office supplies, and similar essentials that keep your organization running.
It is possible that your organization did not receive funding because you were ineligible, the expenses requested were unallowable, the amount requested was over $300, or we did not have any more funds available in the current round.
To receive the funds, grantees will need to send in the costs of the item for the item and we will send funds. After you receive the funds, we ask grantees to send in a receipt showing you bought the item and if you want, take a picture next to the purchase for fun!
At launch, the application will be open in September and applicants will be notified in October. Once notified, grantees should expect funding within 30 days.
Yes and No. Yes, you can apply more than once if you did not receive funding and you are an eligible entity. No, it is not possible to apply more than once if you received funding.
